Increase in Calorie Intake. Women’s appetites tend to increase as we age so as with activity we must adjust our caloric intake accordingly because we know that overeating can become a problem.
Inability to Burn Calories at the rate that we used to. As women age our metabolism decreases and we begin to experience a more difficult time in losing fat and therefore have these issues with fat in all the wrong places during menopause. This is unavoidable but as you start to eat healthier and exercise more, you should notice a decrease.
